About Us
Hi, I’m Claire - Clinic Director and Senior Occupational Therapist at Standout Therapy.
I know how tough school—and life—can be on kids. As a parent, I’ve experienced it firsthand. The demands and pressures can feel overwhelming at times, whether your child is in kindy or Year 12. And when you're a parent who’s not sure how to help, it can feel disheartening and isolating.
At Standout Therapy, we help kids, teens, and young adults learn and consolidate new skills, build confidence, overcome challenges, and feel empowered.
Whether it's improving handwriting, getting organised with schoolwork, learning to manage money, coordinating body movements, or finding ways to navigate anxiety—our sessions are tailored to support emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development.
I meet each young person at their level and create a plan that builds skills and self-esteem. Together, we work on the little things that can sometimes feel really big—whether that’s friendships, family dynamics, school demands, or sport. We have fun, we celebrate wins, and we master the foundations for independence and confidence.
I’m Claire, a qualified Occupational Therapist with over ten years of experience. I’m also a mum of two, fur mum of two, and feather mum of four. I love sport, chocolate, and cheering your child on every step of the way.
Standout Therapy is a neuro-affirming, inclusive clinic where every child and family is welcome.
Ready to get started? Reach out today and let’s take the next step together.

Hello I’m Hayley - Occupational Therapist at Standout Therapy.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2015 from Curtin University.
My career began in a rural hospital in Western Australia, where the hands-on experience across a range of occupational therapy practices set me up with a diverse skill set and established the strong foundation for my career. After a couple of years in the country I transferred to a tertiary hospital in Perth, where I provided specialised occupational therapy, including cognitive rehabilitation, physical rehabilitation, wheelchair assessments and equipment prescription, rehabilitation in the home, and home modifications.
After having my own two children and utilising my knowledge of neurodevelopment and paediatrics, I followed my heart, knowing that all I wanted to do was support families and joined Standout Therapy in August 2024.
I have needed support as a mum, and when I have got it, it has made the world of difference. In a day and age where we do not raise our children in a tribal ‘village’ setting, we may need to go out and make our own village of support, this may be an OT, lactation consultant, naturopath or a child health nurse. I would like to be a part of your village to help support your child’s goals and support your family to enjoy positive and satisfying life experiences.
Whether your child’s goals are linked to fine motor or gross motor skill development, handwriting, self-care or mealtime support, social interactions, attention and focus, executive functioning, emotional regulation and play skills, we will be working together, building fun into our experiences and empowering your child to reach their great potential.

Hello I’m Hannah - Senior Speech Pathologist at Standout Therapy.
I graduated from Curtin University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology. My career started in a paediatric private practice where I was lucky enough to work with a number of families across the years to watch them learn, grow and move through schooling. I moved on to work in a number of settings from private practice to community health, travelling out to rural and remote Western Australia. Seeing such a diverse caseload and in such diverse areas has pushed me to broaden my skillset and be flexible in my environment, particularly when managing multi-disciplinary teams as part of my role. I have always loved children, and working with the paediatric population was always where my heart has been the most happy. I love what I do and most of all, I enjoy providing holistic care that seamlessly integrates into family life.
Having two breaks from practicing to have my two boys has given me a chance to put my skills into practice and foster them further. With a focus on functional support, I strive to empower families with practical tools that foster communication and development in everyday settings. As a parent, I know firsthand how busy family life can be, and I work to make therapy both meaningful and manageable, and of course, fun. Originally from a farm on the coast, I bring a grounded and nurturing approach to everything I do, blending my professional expertise with a deep appreciation for nature and the simple joys of life.
A Speech Pathologist's areas of support range from: speech sound development, receptive and expressive language goals, stuttering, social communication, literacy, feeding and more complex disability and neuro-affirming support. No matter how small or how big the goal is, I’m here to grow with your family and their needs.
- Hannah
